A super lovely & easy way to create a little relaxing bath time ritual 🌿
Bath salt recipe with essential oils & dried herbs.
The winter months of the year can be pretty hard going on many levels.
Embracing the hygge is a relatively new concept to us in the uk, so taking some inspo from our Northern European neighbours has definitely helped me lean into those days by bringing in some lovely rituals.
Bath time is up there for me, & adding some salts to soften & oils to fragrance is just soooo relaxing.
Here I’ve used dried herbs of chamomile, lavender & calendula🌿
Essential oils ( a few drops of each ) of lavender, chamomile, rosemary & clary sage 🌿
Glass jar full of sea salt🌿
I’ve diluted the essential oils in a carrier oil ( 10ml ) of almond oil ( any carrier oil will do) to help ‘carry’ the essential oils & disperse throughout
the salts🌿
I’ve used an old glass jar to store the salts in & I had a small muslin bag perfect for putting a few tablespoons of salts into the bath ( to keep the herbs in one place, whilst allowing them to diffuse into the bath water )🌿
But if you don’t have a little cloth bag you could allow the herbs to float freely in the bath, or into one of those clip close tea strainers 🌿
Hope you enjoy & do let me know what little moments you are finding helpful, I’d love to know 🤍🌿🤍
